Cypress 6 is a lakeside home built for gathering. The inside and the outside run together, with a master suite that opens straight onto the water.
The brief was hospitality, not formality. We laid out a wide outdoor living room and a full outdoor kitchen so dinners can move with the light. The pool deck folds into the architecture instead of getting pushed off to the edge. Inside, soft cream linens and dark, hand-rubbed doors keep the rooms calm against the bright glare off the lake.
The game room turned out to be everyone’s favorite. A downstairs gathering space that stays cool in August, finished in textured plaster and warm walnut. Like the rest of the house, it’s built for hosting without making a fuss about it.
